Data Protection

admin, July 22, 2026July 22, 2026

TRAC (Theoretical Roman Archaeology Conference) is an international unincorporated voluntary association which aims to promote the role and discussion of theory in Roman Archaeology and to provide a forum for debate and discussion amongst senior academics and professionals, young scholars, students, the wider archaeological community and any other interested parties.

To facilitate this, TRAC uses personal information to carry out the many functions connected to the running of our conferences, webinar series, membership programme and connected activities.

TRAC collects a wide range of personal data (names, email addresses and other contact information, academic affiliation, etc) and will endeavour to ensure that the use of this information is in line with the expectations and interests of the TRAC community and in compliance with data protection legislation.

The full policy provides guidance on the processing of personal data (collection, use, storage, sharing and disposal) in accordance with data protection legislation. It applies to data that relates to identifiable living individuals stored and used either electronically or on paper. Compliant processing will support effective business operations and minimise the risk of harm to individuals.

Adherence to this policy is mandatory for the TRAC Standing Committee, Local Organising Committees, as well as members who use personal data held by TRAC.
