Registration Open for RAC/TRAC 2026 – Aarhus admin, February 10, 2026 RAC/TRAC 2026 Main venue: Aarhus University Date: Thursday 21 May – Saturday 23 May 2026 (pre- and post-conference excursions will take place on 20 and 24 May 2026). The event will feature a rich program of cutting-edge research presentations, thought-provoking discussions, and opportunities to connect with scholars and practitioners in Roman archaeology from around the world. Aarhus University City Campus is located in the surroundings of Nobelparken, including the buildings of the Faculty of Arts, and the Museum of Ancient Art. Aarhus University also hosts the Centre for Urban Network Evolutions (UrbNet) exploring the evolution of urbanism and urban networks in the Ancient Mediterranean. The pre- and post-conference excursions will visit Moesgaard Museum, with its magnificent Roman Iron Age finds from Illerup Ådal and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Jelling, with its iconic runestones and burial mounds. The Museum of Ancient Art will be freely accessible at all times during the conference. The joint Roman Archaeology Conference / Theoretical Roman Archaeology Conference is a participative event where more than half the delegates are speaking, and it is customary that all delegates to RAC/TRAC pay the conference fee. Please note that by registering for the conference, you are automatically agreeing to abide by the Code of Conduct. Conference sessions will run from Thursday 21 to Saturday 23 May inclusive, with optional events and excursions on Wednesday 20 and Sunday 24 May.
